AuthorUnlocked is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian to use the platform. By using AuthorUnlocked, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You may use AuthorUnlocked for personal, non-commercial creative writing. Commercial use — including selling access to the platform or reselling outputs at scale — requires prior written permission from True Anchor LLC.
Your writing belongs to you. Any story, character, outline, chapter, or other creative content you write using AuthorUnlocked is yours. We do not claim ownership over your work, and we do not use your writing to train AI models.
When you use AuthorUnlocked, you grant True Anchor LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you — for example, sending your text to the Anthropic API to generate a draft. This license ends when the processing is complete. We do not store, sell, or share your manuscripts.
You represent that you own or have the right to use any content you upload to AuthorUnlocked, and that your use does not infringe the rights of any third party.
AuthorUnlocked uses the Anthropic API to generate story drafts, outlines, and revision passes. The AI generates content based on the context and instructions you provide. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and taking ownership of any AI-generated content before publishing or distributing it.
We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, original, or free of errors. AI outputs may occasionally be inconsistent or unexpected. The tool is a writing partner — not a finished product.
Questions about how AI output may be treated under copyright law are evolving. We recommend consulting a legal professional if you have concerns about publishing AI-assisted work.
You agree not to use AuthorUnlocked to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
AuthorUnlocked can be used without an account. If you create an account using Google sign-in, you are responsible for maintaining the security of that account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
We store your project data in Google Firebase Firestore, locked to your account. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we store and how.
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at [email protected] with the subject line "Delete my account."

Your use of AuthorUnlocked is also subject to the terms of these providers. We are not responsible for changes to their services or policies.
AuthorUnlocked is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee any specific results from using the platform.
Use of AuthorUnlocked is at your own risk. Always keep your own copies of your creative work — we are not responsible for data loss.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, True Anchor LLC and its members, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — AuthorUnlocked, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of AuthorUnlocked shall be resolved in the courts located in Michigan.
AuthorUnlocked is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of AuthorUnlocked after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with a change, please stop using the platform and contact us to delete your account.
